1. Date: August 19, 2023 (Sat)
2. Sessions: Morning session: 10:00 ~ 12:30 & Afternoon session: 14:00 ~ 16:30.
Each student only needs to participate in one session, and the test sessions are arranged by the Language Center.
3. Venues: The venues and sessions will be announced on the website of the Language Center
by 16:00, August 16 (Wed).
4. Who should take the test:
(1) All freshmen (four-year freshmen of the 112 academic year) are required to take the test, but those who are eligible for an exemption shall apply for the exemption beforehand.
(2) Second-year students or above (transfer students and those who have NOT taken the Freshman English Placement Test before).

6. Exemption from the Freshman English Placement Test:
Freshmen who took an official English examination before entering NTUST, e.g. TOEIC, GEPT, IELTS, TOEFL, BULATS,
and Cambridge Main Suite, and have a paper copy of the score report with a score equivalent to or higher than CEFR B1 (550 for TOEIC),
can apply for an exemption from the Freshman English Placement Test on the website of the Language Center. Refer to the table below for the
application and review schedule for the "English Placement Test for Admission" exemption:

Note:
3. For applicants who have applied for the exemption from the English Placement Test but fail to complete the review process, it will be considered as not participating in the English Placement Test.
Those who do not participate in the English Placement Test or do not apply for exemption from the test will not be allowed to take any English courses or receive credits for English exemption.
