The Second Phase of the Higher Education SPROUT Project promotes support for international students' learning, encouraging students to obtain the Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL) certification at level B1 or above. This aims to strengthen the Chinese language abilities required for living in Taiwan and continuing to stay in Taiwan after graduation. Therefore, this TOCFL subsidy program is explicitly established by the Language Center.

If you are an international student with formal enrollment (Your student ID begins with B/M/D) at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) and have attended the TOCFL to get the grades, you are eligible to apply for the subsidy. The application process only requires filling out the online application form by December 9th (Tue.), and the list of subsidy recipients will be announced on December 11th (Thu.).

💡 You can apply for the subsidy as long as you have registered for and obtained to get the scores of TOCFL, regardless of your score.

💡 The subsidy is only applicable to the official TOCFL test sessions from September 2024 to November 2025.
