2021 NTUST English Proficiency Test (for Graduation Requirement)
Test Date: Saturday, December 18, 2021
The results of this test will ONLY be used for the purpose of NTUST’s “English Proficiency Requirement” and cannot be used for any other purposes. Students that receive a score corresponding to the CEFR B1 level on this test are to be considered as having completed the English Proficiency Requirement at NTUST. Those who score below the above-said level on this test will have to take the “English Proficiency Requirement” course instead.
Time and Date: December 18, 2021 (Sat) 10:00 AM~12:30 PM
Test Location: The International Building (IB) at NTUST (complete test session and test room information will be announced on the website of the Language Center by 4:00 PM on December 15)
Test Eligibility: The test is for the four-year undergraduate students at NTUST who have not passed the required CEFR B1 level for the completion of the English Proficiency Requirement, or have not participated in the "NTUST English Proficiency Test”
Test Seats: 500
Test Fee: $0 (Guarantee deposit of NTD 500. See point 5 in the importance notice section below for the return policy)

Registration Procedure:
Follow these steps to complete the registration for the test:
Step 1: Fill out the online registration form by 12:00 PM on Tuesday, November 23: https://forms.gle/QYhAt8Q1RDVjkj1p6
You’ll need to upload the following supporting documents:
(B) Image of Chunghwa passbook cover
(C) Transcript of academic record issued later than November 2021
Step 2: Confirm your eligibility for the test at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, November 30 at the website of the language center.
Step 3: Eligible candidates for the test are required to pay a guarantee deposit of NTD 500 at the school’s cashier from Wednesday, December 1 to Friday, December 3 by 12:00 PM, and submit the deposit voucher to the language center before 5:00 PM, Friday, December 3. The guarantee deposit will NOT be returned if the student fails to attend the test. See point 5 in the important notices.
Important Notices for Registration and Taking the Test
1. Registration fails when the registration form is not filled out properly or the registration procedure is not complete within the designated period.
2. If the number of registered candidates exceeds the maximum limit, priority will be given to the fourth-year (senior) students. The remaining seats, if any, will be determined by lottery.
3. The test is divided into two parts: listening and reading. Test takers are required to bring their own 2B pencils.
4. On the test day, test takers must provide proof of identity by presenting a valid student ID card or other valid identifications that can be used for ID verification.
5. After the test is over, the guarantee deposit will be returned to the students through Chunghwa passbook accounts within 30 days after the test. The guarantee deposit will NOT be returned to those who do not attend the test or who fail to complete the test.
