📌April 15th, 2024 Lecture: More than a Decade Working in Taiwan as a Foreigner

📣This lecture invited Mark, an alumni of our school's Mechanical Engineering Institute who has been working in Taiwan for over 10 years, to share his experiences in learning Mandarin and navigating the workplace environment with international students.

Mark took his Mandarin studies seriously by not only diligently attending Mandarin courses at the school but also utilizing online Mandarin learning platforms to aid his studies. Mark also shared that one of the fastest ways to learn Mandarin is by visiting night markets and practicing Mandarin speaking with the vendors.🤣

After graduation, although Mark could communicate with his colleagues in both Mandarin and English at the company, he encountered local colleagues speaking Taiwanese dialect when he went on a business trip to other places. Despite the need to communicate through gestures, it was still an unforgettable experience!

During the lecture, Mark constantly interacted with the attending students, who were also very proactive in asking questions, making the entire event very lively!

Mark expressed his honor and happiness to be able to share his experiences with his alma mater and junior students.😊
