【Important Notice】NTUST English Proficiency Test 2018
The results of this test will only be used for the purpose of "NTUST English Proficiency Test" and will not be used for any English course waivers.
Those who reach the B1 level pass "NTUST English Proficiency Test"; those who do not reach the B1 level can take the course "Proficiency in English".
Examination date: December 15th, 2018 (Sat) 9:45 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Exam location: TR Building (AAEON Building), Taiwan University Science and Technology (The information on testing rooms will be announced on the language center website by 12 p.m. on December 14th.)
Eligibility: Undergraduate students who have not passed any official standardized tests of English language proficiency or have not participated in the "NTUST English Proficiency Test”
Number of candidates: 550 people
Fees: free
Registration date: from now until December 10th (Monday) 12 p.m.
Testing rooms: Will be announced on the Language Center website before 12 p.m. December 14th (Friday)
※ A list of candidates qualified for the test will be announced by 12 p.m. on December 11th (Tuesday).

Follow the steps below to register:

《Step 2》: A list of candidates qualified for the test will be announced. For those who are qualified, please bring the following items to the Language Center between December 11th (Tuesday) 13:30 to December 12th (Wednesday) 12:00 to complete the registration:
1. The original of student ID card (returned after inspection)
2. Certificate of study and Transcript of Academic Record (login to student information system for verification on site)
3. Deposit NT$500
【Notice for registration and test】
1. If the documents for registration are incomplete or the data verification is not completed by the deadline, it will be regarded as “failure to register.”
2. If there are more than 550 applicants, the seniors who meet the test qualifications will be given priority. The rest will be picked randomly by computer system.
3. The test is divided into two parts: listening and reading. Candidates are required to bring their own 2B pencils.
4. On the day of the test, candidates must bring their student ID cards or other documents to prove their identities. Those without identification are not allowed to take the test.
5. The deposit will be refunded on the spot after the test is over. The deposit will not be refunded if the candidate does not attend the test or complete the test.
